The Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., changed the informal code so that lawmakers could wear anything they wanted when entering the chamber. Many saw this as a nod towards Sen. John Fetterman’s (D.Pa.) wardrobe of hoodies. On Tuesday, Erickson added his voice to the chorus. “Dems, who were outraged at the January 6 rioters storming Capitol because of the violence wrought on that great Temple of Democracy, are okay with a guy at war with English language and shorts getting to wear a hoodie,” Erickson wrote in X (formerly Twitter). “Just no bison helmets.”
