Max Launches New Live Sports Streaming Tier

As of this past weekend, the live-streaming sports selection on Max is a lot more robust–just in time for the MLB post-season and the NBA pre-season, and also good news for hockey and soccer fans, too.

After it was announced on September 19, in a a release[Warner Bros. Discovery’s] which touted that “fans will now have access to streaming platforms in addition to linear to

premium live sports content including more than 300 games per year,” Bleacher Report’s Sports Add-On Tier unfurled its initial stream on October 7. A Warner Bros. Discovery’s press release, shared prior to launch, stated that the B/R Sports add-on is available for Max subscribers during a promotional period until February 29, and then $9.99 per monthly thereafter. Add-On includes a wide range of premium sporting events including MLB, NHL and NBA games, NCAA Men’s March Madness events, U.S. Soccer, and many more. All live events airing on Warner Bros. The Discovery linear network (TNT TBS and truTV) is available through Max’s

B/R Sport Add-On.”The tier debuted on October 7, with a double-header MLB National League Division Series game. There are also a number of upcoming October baseball games as well as NBA Pre-season Games and international friendlies between the U.S. Men’s and Women’s National Soccer Teams. The NHL’s first week will be highlighted by a doubleheader on October 11 (the Chicago Blackhawks against the Boston Bruins and the Los Angeles Kings against the Colorado Avalanche), as well as a doubleheader on October 24 for the NBA’s Opening Night (the Denver Nuggets and Los Angeles Lakers versus Phoenix Suns and Golden State
